That is a great cover indeed. I love seeing different versions of covers for the books, especially if they are this good :)
….I don’t know. The Shrike looks weird to me. I do like the concept for the art (I love the shadows of the pilgrims radiating from the Shrike), but there’s something about the original ’80s cover with the Shrike and the Yggdrasil that just works for me. Then again, I’m fiercely defensive of these books so that probably has something to do with it. Hehe.
