Cover Art for The Blinding Knife by Brent Weeks

Gorgeous. Like, really gorgeous. And a step up even from the impressive early version that leaked a few weeks ago. I say this despite the hooded figure on the cover, which is saying something. It’ll look even more sharp if they end up using the foil-stamp technique that we saw on the paperback edition of The Black Prism. Good job to Lauren Panepinto, artists Shirley Green, Silas Manhood, and the Orbit Books crew.

Great cover! Really makes me want to know what’s burning just beyond those steps!

Eh. I dunno. It’s alright and definitely more evocative than the first cover with its equivalent of Ares from Xena on it…but I’m not loving it. The credit I wish to give it would be for the clouds, and the lovely spectrum of colour (what the series is about ) that is radiating about it…and if it were without hooded guy I’d be all over this…but the hooded guy ruins the effect for me.

That said, Weeks said on FB that he tried to downvote the hooded guy himself but lost out in the end.

What’s really important though is I want to read this book!

Not a Weeks fan (not sure what people are so taken with when it comes to him), but I like the cover. Nice lines.

It is to die for! I’m a big fan of this cover
