I recently stumbled across this picture of Scott Lynch and Joe Abercrombie (along with David Bradley of SFX Magazine) at a business lunch and thought I’d fix it up a little to complete the trifecta of Awesomeness that’s taking the Fantasy world by storm right now!

From left to right we (now) have Joe Abercrombie, Scott Lynch, and *cough* Patrick Rothfuss!

Joe Abercrombie, Scott Lynch and Patrick Rothfuss at lunch!

Now if that isn’t a collection of the best Gentleman Bastards around I don’t know what is!

Strange, I don’t remember Patrick Rothfuss being there, but there he is in *ahem* black and white.

Memory surely can play strange tricks on a man.

Joe, your memory worries me… You haven’t been suffering from any uncontrollable, violent or bloody rages lately, have you? All ten of your fingers are intact?

    ;)

I think it’s pretty obvious to the rest of us that Pat was there! He does look a smidge washed out, though. Must be all the beer!

I would love to be a fly on the wall at such a meeting–who knows what things they might talk about!?

I’m sure it would somehow degenerate into a mexican standoff, Bookie.

That’s a great picture, Aidan! I’ve printed it and put it on the mantelpiece to scare children away from the fire :P

I agree with Bookie–it would be helluvva fun to be there =D

I haven’t got around to reviewing any of this Trifecta of Awesomeness but I love all their books.

Btw Aidan, I’ve put a link to your blog in my most recent post mentioning your upcoming interview with Brian. That way nobody misses out!

Keep the good stuff rolling in Aidan, you’re awesome! (No, I don’t want anything from you :P

Chris, I’m sure it will work very effectively in scaring the little children away!

Thanks for the link, I’ll be sure to let people know about your interview with Brian when I post my own. I tried to take a different approach to my interviews, so hopefully we’ll be coming at Brian with different questions!
