Can I be totally honest here? This cover has way too much text, and not enough imagery/illustration. The more I’ve seen it, the worse it looks. However, you are totally right, HUGE improvement over the one-hand Rand cover out there. Yikes.
I would have got that cover if they sold that in the US. Why dont they offer some contracts to the guys that have good drawings on the drangonmount website
Though it’s frustrating that the art for [b]The Gathering Storm[/b] is so bad, it makes sense that Tor would stick with Sweet through to the end of the series. He has an incredibly iconic style and has been there since day one.
That being said, I expect we’ll see new covers for the series not long after the final volume is published.

I think that if they took out the NY times quote and the bottom International No.1 thing, it’d be perfect.
I’ve always preferred UK covers to US ones, anyhow. They’re less… is pretentious the word? Cartoonish? Something like that.
Much better, one would not be embarassed to be seen with that book cover at an airport etc.
