Take a peek. It\u2019s alright. We weren&#8217;t quite ready, but we will be soon, and we can\u2019t wait to finally show you what we&#8217;ve really been up to.<\/p>\n<p>Stick around, we haven\u2019t even started yet.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>As indicated in the blog post, it looks like this is just the start of wave of coverage likely to come in the next few weeks. I expect the first announcement trailer will be shown at the Spike TV videogame awards, airing December 7th.<\/p>\n<p>A synopsis, confirmed real by Bungie, was also leaked:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\nOur story begins seven hundred years from now in the Last City on Earth, in a Solar System littered with the ruins of man\u2019s Golden Age. A massive, mysterious alien ship hangs overhead like a second Moon. No one knows where it came from or what it\u2019s here for, but only that it\u2019s our protector. Meanwhile, strange, alien monsters creep in from the edge of the universe, determined to take Earth and the Last City. We are young \u2018knights\u2019 tasked with defending the remains of humanity, discovering the source of these monsters and \u2013 eventually \u2013 overcoming it.\u201d Elsewhere in the document, the massive alien ship is referred to as \u201cthe Traveler.&#8221;\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It all looks and sounds, well&#8230; pretty darn cool. As an aside, it&#8217;s too weird seeing Bungie&#8217;s name attached to a game with a PlayStation 3 logo on the splash screen. I know Bungie&#8217;s history, but I&#8217;ve strongly attached them to the Microsoft\/Xbox brand for years, and it will take some time getting used to seeing their games elsewhere, though, for the industry in general, I&#8217;m happy to see the move from first-party Microsoft developer to independent third-party developer.<\/p>\n<p>What do you think of the art?
