{"id":1551,"date":"2009-08-24T08:28:43","date_gmt":"2009-08-24T16:28:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/aidanmoher.com\/blog\/?p=1551"},"modified":"2009-08-24T08:28:43","modified_gmt":"2009-08-24T16:28:43","slug":"cover-art-the-other-lands-by-david-anthony-durham-uk-edition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aidanmoher.com\/blog\/2009\/08\/art\/cover-art\/cover-art-the-other-lands-by-david-anthony-durham-uk-edition\/","title":{"rendered":"Cover Art | The Other Lands by David Anthony Durham (UK Edition)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A few weeks ago, <a href=\"https:\/\/aidanmoher.com\/blog\/2009\/02\/cover-art\/cover-art-synopsis-the-other-lands-by-david-anthony-durham\/\">I posted the beautiful cover art<\/a> for the North American edition of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidanthonydurham.com\/\">David Anthony Durham<\/a>&#8216;s <strong>The Other Lands<\/strong>, sequel to his successful <strong>Acacia: The War with the Mein<\/strong>, and now I&#8217;ve got a look at the UK edition.<\/p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/aidanmoher.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/the-other-lands-by-david-anthony-durham.jpg\" alt=\"The Other Lands by David Anthony Durham\" title=\"The Other Lands by David Anthony Durham\" width=\"327\" height=\"500\" class=\"center\" \/>\n<p>It&#8217;s a known fact that UK covers are generally miles beyond their NA counterpart in terms of quality, but I&#8217;d say this is one exception to the rule. I appreciate the granduer of the NA cover, which suggests how mysterious and epic these &#8216;Other Lands&#8217; are, whereas the UK cover has a nice sense of adventure and tension, but seems to lack focus. Still, either way, Durham&#8217;s got to be pretty happy with how the covers of his novels have been handled.<\/p>\n<p>On top of this, Durham is hosting a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidanthonydurham.com\/blog\/2009\/08\/giveaway.html\">giveaway for an ARC of <strong>The Other Lands<\/strong><\/a>.
