Thanks to Adam from <a href=\"http:\/\/thewertzone.blogspot.com\/\">The Wertzone<\/a> for the heads-up!<\/p>\n<p>The top ten looks like this:<\/p>\n<div class=\"quote\">\n<ul>\n<li>10. Terry Pratchett<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>I think this is the first mass-market list that doesn&#8217;t have Tolkien at number one, which is interesting itself. I&#8217;m glad to see Neil Gaiman so high, and it&#8217;s quite impressive to see George R.R. Martin topping the list as the highest non-British author. It&#8217;s also interesting to see how many of those authors <em>don&#8217;t<\/em> write epic fantasy; those types of authors usually tend to top lists like this.<\/p>\n<p>The full list is found after the jump.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<div class=\"center\">\n<p><strong>100. Terry Pratchett<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>There&#8217;s a great discussion going on about the list over at <a href=\"http:\/\/asoiaf.westeros.org\/index.php?showtopic=29056\">the Westeros forums<\/a>, so I won&#8217;t bog things down with a personal breakdown of the list, but here are a couple of the things that stuck out at me:<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8211; Joe Abercrombie, Tad Williams and Jonathan Carroll on the list. Yay!<br \/>\n&#8211; It&#8217;s nice to see Robin Hobb, David, Gemmell and Steven Erikson ranking as high as they did.<br \/>\n&#8211; Terry Goodkind and David Eddings&#8230;.
