I like it, though I prefer the tight typeface on the UK version. It&#8217;s interesting to note that they&#8217;ve removed the fellow standing on the platform watching the blimp\/ship\/thing. Weird.<\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/aidanmoher.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/the-black-lung-captain-by-chris-wooding.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/aidanmoher.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/the-black-lung-captain-by-chris-wooding.jpeg\" alt=\"THE BLACK LUNG CAPTAIN by Chris Wooding\" title=\"THE BLACK LUNG CAPTAIN by Chris Wooding\" width=\"425\" height=\"640\" class=\"center\" \/><\/a>\n<p>Big change here. I actually think the US cover executes the idea <em>much<\/em> better than the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Black-Lung-Captain-Tales-Ketty\/dp\/0575085185\">UK cover<\/a>. The ship looks more impressive, the setting more interesting and the general perspective of the scene is a lot more realistic. It reminds me of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.martiniere.com\/\">Stephan Martiniere<\/a>&#8216;s work on<a href=\"https:\/\/aidanmoher.com\/blog\/2009\/06\/cover-art\/cover-art-the-price-of-spring-by-daniel-abraham\/\"> <em>The Long Price Quartet<\/em> by Daniel Abraham<\/a>. That said, I prefer the grimy typeface used on the UK cover, which stands out from the crowd better than the typical san-serif font of the US cover.
