Yeah. One of my first visits to genre was The Martian Chronicles, more than 30 years ago.
Obviously, I stuck around and have him to thank.
And “The Veldt” still scares me.
I remember the Martian Chronicles scaring me when the tv series was on when I was a young kid. Then of course when I was older I watched Fahrenheit 451 many times when it was shown on tv. I’ve only read a few of his short stories, I’ve been meaning to do something about that.
I saw a brilliant video on youtube recently of him being interviewed in the 1970’s, he was fiercely intelligent and charismatic
